Tis Summer Time and My website is up to date!!!!

Ah yes... Looking back at this year's blogs I noticed a theme of longing for warmer weather. Finally it is here! Every time it becomes a little too hot I remind myself to appreciate how cold it is not!

Oh my, the summer time! A time for promise and possibilities! So many plans to make, so many places to go!

Some of the highlights of this season included my long time friends from southern California made a journey to Reno, then I made the journey back to Southern CA. Sad to missed San Diego comicon, but made a beehive for my friend in remembrance for Amy Winehouse. Big Sexy Hair Hairspray is the best!!! It lasted for 4 days! Started watching the Harry Potter movies, and made the error of reading a synopsis of the last book, now that is something I cannot unlearn. Most important today I update my website!

It was amazing that the last update prior to today was in 2009. Certainty this update was long over due! Funny enough I went over some of my notes for my last update, and good lord were those ideas are now surpassed with my latest projects and social networking! So I am pleased to share with you my readers my new website! Social network options, movies, new comics, vomics (voice comics), a whole new look and much more!!!

Enjoy!

Tis Spring Time... Kinda

Here in the mysterious land of Reno, NV all 4 seasons can be experienced.

Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. The transitions between the seasons are extreme, it's never gradual like in Europe or other states in the USA.

The last 2 days were gorgeous, lovely warm spring weather with a hint of breeze. The funny part is just last week it was snowing like mad.Tomorrow the prediction is rain. Possibly in June it might snow. It has happened before.

Right at this moment other than this weblog I am taking measures to recover from yet another cold. I've been sick every month so far since December. So my goal is that I no longer get sick and enjoy the upcoming
possible lovely weather.

Other than that, I am waiting on a VHS movie called: "Joysticks" to arrive at my door. It looks like cheesy 80s fun with video games and nudity! My my how my brain wanders. Until next time.

Here are some Voice Comics me and my friend Ray N narrated. Enjoy!

I need to do a ton of Updates!

Yesterday I got an email that clearly indicated I needed to make changes to my security of my website. Well silly me, I misinterpret this very clear message and translated this into: I have to renew my website and pay the fees. This got me to thinking. I immediately rushed to my website and I noticed, WOW, the last update was in 2009! I thought to myself, "jeez I really need to update this!" I do recall my boss at work mentioning there was much to the website, and I would have to agree.

Today I then rushed to pay for my next 2 years and realized that I just needed to change my security preferences. But I'm glad this happened because this help me to realize I need to get back into the groove and also ideas for new features to add to my website as well with a new look.

So starting today I will devote a plan to do some sort of update or drawing or something I can make my website great and also keep on keeping on.

Don't worry my readers there will be updates for 2011!

And a little something to fit the mood!

I want to do somthing exciting!!!!

Did I write about this before???

I think it might be possible. Finally the weather isn't horrible, the sun is out the world is calling me. But sadly at the moment I don't have my truck to make it on my magical journey to anywhere land.

So while I wait, I shall weblog while my dog licks my hand.

Currently I am still working on stories for more of the Ray N. comic, based off of this real life and turned into hilarious fiction. He's a friend of mine who also writes and draws and has a blog as well, check it out:
http://theraynexperience.blogspot.com/

He updates it frequently so its a delight to read.

Another update is my long time comic about 2 professors working on the cure for being bitchy, its coming real soon in actual book form. In addition to that I also have other projects that are spread out and on a list some where in the crazy place I live.

Finally the #1 thing that's been on my mind is the travel plans for San Diego, should we fly or should we drive???

Eventually I will figure it out, complete my comics, update my website and hit the awesome nirvana to ultraness. Til then I'm going to watch Fast Times at Ridgemont High, that includes the cut scenes but is made for TV!

Teens and people who are about to do IT, use protection!!!!!!

Don't use teeth unless there's a special request!

Stacy Hamilton: When a guy has an orgasm, how much comes out?
Linda Barrett: A quart or so.
Ewwwww... Til the next time!

I want to go out!!!

For the last few weeks I've been sick with a cold, that went away and came back to be a lovely hacking cough. Blah! The last several days I've been feeling like your typically cold commercial with aches and pains.

Today I actually feel much much better! I'm still sick but I can function much more. It really is amazing how one's thoughts can make a person go mad.

Now I hope I can finish the lay out of my upcoming comic! It's a comedy about two professors on a mission to find a cure for being bitchy, but it doesn't turn out the way  they like to and all sorts of wacky trouble occurs. I plan to have this out on print about the summer of this year, this poor comic has been in the works on and off since 2007 so hopefully this is the year it will make its debut! Here's a fun drawing I made of one of the many characters featured in this comic! Til next time!

Non-fashonable

Yuck!

For the last several days I've been sick with a cold. No bueno.

During this time however I was able to do a drawing. This particular drawing was inspired from a girl that I saw at the local art museum. It was funny at the time at first glance I noticed her socks with the boots then I thought that might be cute. However I looked at the entire package. Lordy! Disaster. There could of been more motive behind the over accessorizing, the extra long fake eyelashes, super long v-neck,  and man do I ever dislike the cave man Eskimo boots that are trendy. Recent surveys  indicate males have no fancy for that look either. After drawing this picture it actually the girl looks cuter than what she really looks like in real life. It's almost like what they say about Communism that it works better on paper than in all actuality. Here's that drawing I did today! Enjoy!

About the City I live in...

I live in a city called Reno. Located in the state of Nevada (don't worry bout how its pronounced either.) From my personal experience I mention where I live and people will have no idea, when you mention Nevada people assume its right down the street from Las Vegas or people will say oh man like that show Reno 911 (fun fact: Reno does not have palm trees).

A little historical background:
Around the time of the mining boom, Reno helped to connected Virginia City with California. Eventually in the 1930's gambling became legal and became America's gambling capitol until the late 1950's. Even was known for easy divorces.

Just in more recent years I was curious to see what Reno looked liked when it was glorious. SO I looked through the Internet, kinda snooped through books in the book store. Overall I find it rather depressing because at one time Reno, NV was this:

So glamorous it did indeed look, with all the people in the postcards dressed up to go the casinos to see the headline shows and to gamble and have a few cocktails.

But due to many bankruptcies and economic hardships, many of these casinos were demolished back in the late 90's and in more recent years much of the abandoned casinos were remodeled into condos.

So now if for some crazy reason you were ever to visit this place you'll see the many once casinos that are missing their sparkling lights and being replaced by some wandering drunk people and a few drugged up crackheads who play musical instruments for money.

Keep in mind its winter now, come summer time there's many special events and fun festivals that distract away from what Reno has transformed into today.

Behold!!!! For I am now Blogging!!!

Yikes!!!

I thought I'd never do this but here I am, weblogging!!!

Since it's the beginning of the year 2011 why not start on a positive note.
I came to the conclusion about people, friends and life and came to terms with the way things will always be and tra la la la la la.

One thing I'm really excited about is squid. Not only do I love to eat it but I plan to paint some too. So this year as I also hope with every year I do more art and complete more projects. But I hope this will help me keep track of my progress and share with the readers of this blog where I'm going.

So wish me luck on my new 2011 journey to through the imagination of the JRP.

Here's a quote I found that I felt could sprinkle the magic of motivation:

We will open the book.  Its pages are blank.  We are going to put words on them ourselves.  The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.  ~Edith Lovejoy Pierce
